In fulfilling the Great Commission, we are committed to transforming individuals, communities and nations through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Though our primary focus is discipling through training, our vision is much larger than our schools!
We believe that all of life is a mission field. In order to influence society as a whole, we seek to equip students to be change agents in various domains of life such as Arts, Business & Commerce, Church, Distribution of Media, Education, Family, and Government. Classroom teaching combined with field opportunities allow students to grow and learn in their areas of calling. Each area of study includes practical assignments and cross-cultural experiences for every student.Being field-driven, courses are designed to be applicable to real-life situations. Most schools are followed by a field assignment or internship that brings immediate application of what was learned in the classroom.
Re-evaluating curriculum and course-content, engaging experts as resource speakers, pioneering new ministries and expanding existing ones in the various spheres of society keep us constantly relevant.
Despite seeking to maintain academic standards, UofN Pune is not just about training; it is about deepening your relationship with God and making a difference in the world. Maturity of character takes precedence over intellectual pursuits. We seek to disciple our nation and the nations around us by first and foremost being disciples of Jesus ourselves. Worship, intercession, personal discipline and humility are key habits that are inculcated.
Founded in 1989, many of our current staff have been through the tough years of pioneering and now have a wealth of wisdom to share. Others come from professional backgrounds or with life experience. To further ensure the standard of training is continually upgraded and improved, we have regular staff training programs.
We have about 50 long term and short term staff. Of these some reside on base and the remaining live off campus.
The campus is headed by a Council and the day to day management is taken care of by the Campus Management Team which consists of a member from each of the operations departments.
